Stepping into the role of Deputy Mayor

I am very honoured to be stepping into the role of Deputy Mayor.

At this week’s meeting, council formally appointed Nathan Shanks as the Acting Mayor of Gawler, until a new mayor is elected at the upcoming by-election.

Council also elected me as the new Deputy Mayor of Gawler.

I am very grateful for this opportunity. I believe I can provide a fresh perspective to the leadership of our town, while also supporting the great work Acting Mayor Nathan Shanks has been leading for our community over the past few months.

I would sincerely like to thank my fellow elected members for their support as I move into this new role.

I would also like to thank my family, friends, and the Gawler community whose support I value incredibly.

I look forward to supporting Nathan, elected members, our CEO Chris Cowley, and council staff, to continuing delivering positive outcomes for all members of our community.
